The Honey Run Retreat is a unique mountain home, with its floor to ceiling window-clad walls, exposed beams, and second floor master suite balcony. Whether you are playing a game of cards by the wood stove, enjoying the creek view from the sprawling front patio, or lounging in the spa under the stars - this vacation home offers the ultimate getaway experience.

While this home is pet-friendly, all pets are subject to approval prior to booking and must be reflected on the reservation. If you're traveling with a pet, please reach out before booking to ensure we'll be able to host your furry friend!

Due to Butte County fire restrictions, the fire pit is only allowed to be used during the winter. If you're traveling in the spring, summer, or fall, fires are unfortunately not allowed.

For larger groups, there is a detached cottage studio in addition to the main home! It's on the same property, but tucked in the backyard for a lovely feeling of privacy. Perfect as a honeymoon suite, or just as an extra bedroom for family and friends.
The cottage comes complete with its own bed, bathroom, and kitchen. It is available for $100/night, and offered in addition to main home rentals only. It is not available for renting separately, and will not be occupied during your stay if you don't choose to add it on.

The Honey Run Retreat is just 10 miles outside of Chico, providing both privacy and convenience. From here you will find some of the best hiking and most beautiful natural features that Northern California has to offer. Some favorites include: Bidwell Canyon Trail, Phantom Falls, Monkey Face Mountain, the Sierra Nevada mountains and Butte Creek Canyon.
There is also an amazing river (technically a creek, but a big one!) that runs just down the road from the Retreat - enjoy a float down Butte Creek like a local Chicoan!

Our home is on a private road, and the homes in the area are occupied by year round owners. While you are welcome to explore the creek and the property around the home, please refrain from wandering the private roads of the community, as the neighbors like their privacy.

Garage access is not included in this listing.

Immediately upon entry you’ll be greeted by a grand living space with two walls of soaring windows - bringing the wild & natural landscape into the home. After sundown, enjoy the cozy wood-burning stove for maximum evening ambiance.

The two downstairs bedrooms are perfectly tucked away in the quiet side of the home, with a full bath situated in between bedrooms so lodgers enjoy no shared walls. Open-concept chef's kitchen is equipped with new stainless steel appliances throughout, plus coffee, spices, and just about any cooking utensil needed to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. The electric cooktop island overlooks the breakfast bar and living space for seamless entertaining - or elect to host a more formal affair at the generously sized oaken dining table. Find the butlers pantry off the kitchen equipped with a wine fridge, plentiful storage, and convenient backyard BBQ access.

From the living room a stairway leads up to the second floor where you'll find the massive Primary Suite - essentially a separate living quarters in itself. This second story space includes a full bath with upgraded LED mood lighting, double vanities, custom tiled walk in shower - and a pedestal tub which enjoys a fabulous meadow view. From the suite's sitting area, you'll find French doors opening into the second story wooden terrace boasting mountain views and hot tub access. Sneak away for an afternoon siesta or curl up with a book on the bedroom's couch.
